As many of you know, this is the last weekend of the Barneys Warehouse Sale… and today’s the last day. Check out the price list from this morning for the final markdowns. Yesterday, Larry the Label stopped in hoping to score some great finds. For Larry, the prices were great but the selection was not (no surprise there!):
I have to say the prices were amazing! The downside was a lot of the stuff was picked over. All shoes were 50% off the discounted price. I spotted a Dior boot (size 10) that would be $280 – isn’t bad since the original price was over $1000. Sportswear, sweaters, and trousers were all 70% off, which was also an amazing discount. I spotted an Alexander McQueen turtleneck that would be about $60 after the discount which you won’t find anywhere. However I passed on it because there was a small hole on the arm (probably could’ve been fixed but I just didn’t want to chance it or bother). There was an E. Tautz buttoned down shirt for $60. Other Alexander McQueen and Costume National buttoned down shirts also went for around $80. My favorite pieces were a John Varvatos button down for $21 and a Michael Kors short sleeve button down for $15. Lots of sweaters from Piattelli and Barneys for under a $100. I found some polo t-shirts for under $10. All in all, great prices, but definitely very picked over with some damaged items in the mix.
Where/When: 255 West 17th St (b/w 7 & 8th Ave). Thru Sunday Mar 4; (9-8p)
