The Saks Fifth Avenue winter sale is in full swing this week… Get up to 60-percent off the original price for her and up to 50-percent off for him.

The store was busy on Tuesday, but not as insane as Monday as the New York Daily News and Racked reported security had to shut down the women’s designer shoe department on the 8th floor because pandemonium broke out.

If you’re looking to update your fall/winter wardrobe, Saks is a good place to start.  They had a lot of merchandise on offer.  Great place to find coats (for the upcoming winter months ahead) in an assortment of styles and labels (Burberry, Max Mara, Nina Ricci, Moncler, Postcard and more).

As for footwear, the 8th Floor had a pretty good selection where sale shoes (take an extra 40% off the sale price) are organized by size (Costume National, Rick Owens, Nicholas Kirkwood, Prada, Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo, Reed Krakoff, YSL and I even spotted a pair of Roger Vivier black patent heels with the signature buckle).  A few styles of Chanel and Christian Louboutin heels and flats were set aside in a separate section at 30-percent off the ticketed price.

Each of the designer apparel departments on the 3rd and 2nd floors had a small section of sale items at an extra 40-percent off the sale price.  If you can’t make it to Saks on Fifth Avenue, the sale is also taking place online.
