The Soho boutique, Kisan, features pieces from mainly international designers (European, Canadian, Japanese and more) – some well-known and other hard to find labels. The style choices are varied from sophisticated brands such as Ports 1961 to quirky funky pieces from Sonia Rykiel and Tsumori Chisato. The store on Greene Street is trying to clear out its spring/summer merchandise and through this weekend its offering final markdowns. All sale items are now 70% off the retail price.
The sale is taking place in the back of the store where you’ll find apparel & accessories for both women and children. There was a rack of Ports 1961 pieces, including dresses at $188 (was $625), a basic grey cotton sweater for $119 (was $395), a wool coat for $278 (was $925). I also spotted a few pieces from Sonya Rykiel; a dress was originally $770 is now $231, a sweater that was $395 is now $119, a cute angel print dress that was $470 is now $141, SR shoes are now $179 (was $595) and darling platform sandals for $189 (was$650). There were colorful dresses by Megan Park – a mosaic kaftan dress is now $162 (was $540). In the very back of the store are the children’s clothing. The sale pieces were all organized by size and folded into bins. Brands include Bonpoint, Bonbon, Dandy Star and more.
The store owners are hoping to make this sale more enticing by offering an additional 10% off your purchase if you buy 5 items total. While that may sound like a great deal to them. I wasn’t swayed and really couldn’t find 5 things to walk out with. Maybe if the offering was for 3 items, I may have gone for it. Sale ends this Sunday.
