I went to the James Perse looking for basics and found plenty. The sale opens to the public on Tuesday. Yesterday evening, organizers at 260 Fifth Avenue held a preview.
For those like me wanting to update their summer staples, you’ll find a number of items worth snapping up.
They had lots of cotton tees, tanks, sweatshirts, pants and more available in the brand’s signature neutrals, whites and blacks as well as pastels and brights mixed in.
For women, there were racks and racks of stuff, many of the merchandise was on offer on the brand’s website at the original retail price. At this sale, pieces are tagged from $100 and under.
All tees (l/s & s/s) were $30, tanks at $15, knit tops were $45, shirts at $60, dresses at $65, jackets at $100 and great deals on cashmere sweaters at $75. For a complete look, see the price list below.
A few of the highlights included the short-sleeve sheer slub casual tee (orig. $65), the viscose chiffon relaxed tee (orig. $155), linen button up (orig. $165), cashmere gauze henleys (orig. $305), racerback clouson dress ($175), skinny tank dress (orig. $195), vintage fleece sweatshirt dress (orig. $175), pull on skinny trouser (orig. $225) and more.
The men’s stuff were hanging on racks on one side of the room. On offer were button up shirts at $60, T-shirts at $30, pants at $60, jackets at $100 and more.
Plus, there were lots of pieces from the Yosemite collection. Nothing from the Home Collection.
