Through Sunday, the semi-annual end of season sale is being held at Soho’s IF Boutique. The discounted merchandise can be found in their basement level.
The store curates edgy lines from Japanese, French and Belgian designers such as Dries van Noten, Junya Watanabe, Maison Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester and so much more. This weekend’s deals can be had on current spring/summer and past season merchandise.
The racks of clothing for both men and women line the walls. Leather goods as well as footwear can be found in the middle of the space. In one section, we spotted pieces from Dries van Noten such as the 3-D floral plain silk dress for $290 (originally $1,105) and a silk/cotton plaid sleeveless top for $182 (originally $605). There were also pieces from Rick Owens such as an light-weight overcoat for $290 (originally $1,840) as well as items from Comme des Garcons such as a cropped jacket with a silk organza overlay (in black and cream) for $365 (originally $1,2120). As usual, they had a pretty good selection of affordable pieces from Ivan Grundahl.
On a table in the middle of the room is the footwear – a limited selection of styles and sizes. Shoes and booties from Maison Martin Margiela ($345) caught our eye as well as flats from Yohji Yamamoto ($395).
