The men’s retailer, Freemans Sporting Club, sample sale officially kicks off today and goes through this Sunday. Fashionable Femme Jen stopped into the preview and gives us her report:

“Rugged men can buy reduced wares at the Freeman’s Sporting Club sample sale. Rows and piles of Tupperware boxes line the inside of a cramped space on Rivington Street.

Shirts and pants with plaid, grid and stripe patterns are $50 each and sit in bins sorted by size. Outerwear, priced at $200 each, hang on a side wall. Ties, belts, shoes and socks are in bins by the check out.

Sizing ranges from XS to XL with no room to change. There’s a crowd tonight, but not to fear–there is a LOT of merchandise! Highlights include a pair of pale blue chinos for $50, a pair of light blue and navy color block shorts for $30, a navy and white button down stripe shirt for $50, and a herringbone wool coat for $200. Other offerings include T-shirts for $15, shorts for $30, jeans for $50, short sleeve shirts and henleys for $40, knitwear for $100 and merino knits for $75.
