Friday is the last day of the chloe & reese sale in the Garment District where the label’s ready-to-wear collection is 50 to 60 percent off.  I checked out the sale Thursday after work and found party and day dresses, pencil skirts, feminine blouses, and more.  I really liked the silhouettes of the dresses, especially the classic sheath with the deep V in the back.  Very flattering on many body types.  There were four of us in the showroom and we all looked good in many of the dresses. Prices for the tops, dresses and skirts ranged from $50 to $150. The New York based label offers some great fabrics.  For summer; silk faille, silk organza, silk brocade and cotton pique.  There were also some solid-colored wool dresses that you could wear during the fall months.  As for sizing; a handful of 0s, plenty of 2s and 4s, some 6s, 8s and 10s.

I ended up buying a wool plaid strapless dress for $90 (originally $295) and a silk organza floral strapless party dress for $80 (originally $450).  I ran into two of my readers at the sale.  One of them bought a black sheath wool dress for the upcoming cooler months.  She looked fabulous in that dress.  The other reader, a fellow shopping blogger (, bought a wool camel dress with nautical buttons and a wool pencil skirt, which will take her into the fall.   The sales person was very nice and accommodating allowing us shoppers to stay well past closing.  She says the chloe & reese label is sold at Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel and Neiman Marcus.
