folded sweaters and blouses

The French childrenswear label, Bonpoint, is a go-to brand for chic fashionable mothers who want to outfit their children in Liberty prints, cashmere and other high-end pieces. This semi-annual sale always draws a dedicated crowd.

While Tuesday evening’s preview sale was fairly calm, there were lots of mothers walking out carrying bags filled with deals. Almost everything is 60% off the original retail price.

Inside a large airy space in the Metropolitan Pavilion, there are plenty of separates and accessories folded on tables organized by size. Along the wall are racks of coats, dresses and skirts. The footwear are stacked towards the back of the room. Staffers spend their time helping customers or making sure the items are neatly folded.

If I can, I try to hit this sale looking for gifts for my two nieces, especially for one of them whose style is definitely Bonpoint. I spot a few plush cashmere sweaters and cardigans (just under $100) and a poplin cotton blouse ($70).
