Suzanne at the Echo Design sample sale

Are you still looking for holiday gifts for the in-laws or your own family members?  If so, you should consider dropping by the Echo Design sample sale at the Metropolitan Pavilion.  Sample Sally source, Discount Di, was looking to wrap-up her holiday shopping last night so she checked out the merchandise there.  She reports plenty of colorful scarves, gloves, hats, totes and more for at least 50% off.  Di  managed to get one of the sales staff, Suzanne, to model a brightly colored scarf.   Here’s her findings:

Silk scarves that retailed at $50 were on sale for $15 and Polo knit scarves now $20 (were $50).  Helpers Erin and Suzanne modeled some of the drapey, colorful scarves and wraps on offer (prices ranged from $25 to $35).   Sweet cotton neckerchiefs and Christmas themed scarves went for only $10.

Knit hats ran the gamut from knobby knits to berets all going for about $15, and there were boxes packed with gloves both leather and wool all going for $10-$20.

In the back, large Monsac bags once sold for $400 were on sale for $105 and a long table packed with long and short umbrellas sold for $15 to $20.  Men’s scarves were less plentiful, but pretty good deals.  Polo scarves were going for $35 and I saw a long cashmere scarf that had retailed for $300, now $150.

Di says one problem was the confusing and extensive price list handed out to shoppers when they walked in.  Four pages listing every item by SKU number had bargain hunters staring at the sheet when they could have been taking a closer look at the merchandise. All in all, something for everyone looking for stocking stuffers.
