The end-of-season sale continues for many retailers… Fasionable Femme Jen checked out the Century 21 downtown to see what she could find. Here’s a short report:
As the pre-fall sale frenzy continues, I stop into Century 21 to browse designer discount wares. Most items on clearance are “pay half” or “65% off” original century 21 prices. While the merchandise seems fairly picked over, there are still deals to be had.
Highlights include a Moschino top in size 6 for $62.97 (orig. $370), a pair of size 24 light wash Maison Martin Margiela skinny jeans for $89.99 (orig. $455), a purple ruffled Lanvin dress for $314.99 at 65% discount (orig. $4,190) in sizes 36 and 38 and a simple black skirt in size 2 from The Row for $99.98 (orig. $650). Other fun finds includes a few size M ½ price salmon colored Jil Sander tees for $99.99 (Orig $1,250), a Jil Sander Navy multicolor dress in sizes 36 and 38 for $249.98, a light pink sleeveless See by Chloe dress for $54.98 (orig. $250) and Maiyet silk shorts for $84.98 (orig. $425). If you happen to be near a Century 21 and have some time on your hands, it’s possible to find some great deals. But definitely be prepared for the madness, disorganization and many many mistreated garments.

on July 24, 2013 11:35 amI used to love century...but it just doesn't get the top designer stuff anymore
they used to have orange label missoni
Pucci
Antonio marras
Gucci chloe Masons
now its M by Missoni, see by chloe, no pucci and a lot of unknown name stuff
I went last week and it seemed that its a lot of stuff that no one else wanted from other department stores.....
also just too big now and too many elevators -things spread out too thin
and TOO MANY TOURISTS!

on July 24, 2013 9:59 pmI agree. I used to find some great Vivienne Westwood, Gucci, Prada etc. but everything is so damaged and not even worth looking. I find better stuff online now.

on July 25, 2013 2:56 pmHello from the Century 21 Stores social team!
C21 gets new inventory in our stores all the time, and we have a great selection online 24/7 at c21stores.com, too. If there's anything we can assist with, give us a shout on Twitter @century21stores. We want to make sure you're always scoring top designers.
P.S. Caroline, we'll have Pucci available in the next few months!

on July 26, 2013 12:51 amI have to say the Century 21 at the Bergen Mall in NJ is great. It is neat and orderly and never crowded. The other ones I have been to are not as good. I stopped by today to check out the end of season sale and either most of the good stuff was gone or they didn't reduce the high-end merch.
***My one complaint is that it used to get Tom Ford at amazing prices, but I haven't seen it there in a couple years. Not happy about that.
