The French swimwear and beachwear brand, Vilebrequin, is hosting a sample sale in Nomad through this Sunday. A fellow shopper checked out the deals (thanks D!) and gives us her take:
“The sale had a lot of merchandise for men (no surprise!). Their signature swim trunks are a good bargain but still will cost you a pretty penny at $95 (Retails $190 – $300). It quickly adds up. Thought I would be clever and buy the juniors but the sizing for men and women runs very small. I bought a pair of men’s large swim trunks for myself and I usually wear a ladies s/m.
There was only a men’s dressing room during Monday night’s preview and the staff said they hadn’t decided whether or not they would open a woman’s dressing room at all! So I suggest you wear a dress/skirt since you’ll be trying your shorts on in the middle of the floor. Although there was only one double rack of ladies shorts and a rack of ladies linen pants/shorts.
They carried a flip flop collaboration with Havaianas but sizing was very limited (I saw 4, 5 and 11). There are buckets of juniors shorts, including the most adorable swim trunks for children you’ll ever see.
There are also tons of summer cotton/linen Riviera vacation shirts for men as well as classic polo shirts with the logo. Surprisingly there were a number of winter jackets all at $100, including a suede jacket originally $1,200.
No word on if there will be any additional discount but I think there will just by the sheer volume of inventory and the fact that at $95 (men’s) the shorts are still a bit pricey ($40 for women).” – D. For details on location and dates, click here to our Calendar Page.
