Additional markdowns are being given at the multi-designer sample sale at Clothingline in the Garment District. When we stopped in on the first day, we didn’t think that the discounts were worth it. Sabrina tells us if it’s worth checking out with the latest discounts:

“This sample sale features contemporary womenswear – clothes, coats, shoes – from a number of brands including 360CASHMERE, Alexis, FRAME, IRO, Isabel Marant, Kal Rieman, McQ, Mi Jong Lee, and Rag & Bone.

Several brands, which are all NY based – Kal Reiman and Yeohlee, Emmelle – were well represented with racks of clothing across sizes, including pants, jackets, and tops. They are marked down at 75% off retail (85% for Yeohlee). These prices appear to be much lower than what I’ve seen on their websites.

On the other hand, the rest of the brands didn’t have much selection. For example, I saw only a handful of jeans from Rag & Bone, AG, and FRAME. This was true of the shoes as well – not much of a variety in designs or sizes (most of the shoes I saw were size 7).

Unless you are familiar with Kal Reiman and Yeohlee, Emmelle and have been waiting on deals from these brands, then I would not recommend going to this sale. While there were alot of clothes, the selection of quality or unique items was not very robust and it was difficult to find items offered in a range of sizes.” – Sabrina of Theresa on the Town
