The Paris-based “cool kids” brand, The Kooples, is holding a sample sale in Soho. If you like rock-and-roll inspired fashion, this is the place for you. Fashionable Femme Jen stopped by yesterday and has our report:

“Racks a plenty greet the savvy shopper at The Kooples sample sale Wednesday evening. On the main floor, mounds of merchandise is divided mostly equally between men’s and women’s, with pricing starting out at $45 for T-Shirts and topping off at $360 for leather Jackets (both men’s and women’s). A healthy selection of clothing for all seasons is moderately priced; some pieces from the last sale seem to be making a second debut. Mens and women’s shoes and accessories (scarves, hats, socks, etc.) are located on the lower level. Sizing starts out at XXS and runs to XL.

Of note for women is the rainbow denim short for $50 (orig. $195), a sleeveless salmon pink crepe and chiffon dress for $115 (orig. $275) and a military short jumpsuit with a back slit and embroidery, also for $115. There is a sparse selection of jackets, including the new heavy cotton parka in black for $260 (orig. $995). Overall, it’s a mixed bag, with an inconsistent spread of styles across the sizing spectrum. Over in the men’s section, there are bold colors of assorted polos for $45 (orig. $120) and mixed blazers for $190 (orig. ~$600)

Downstairs, bins of mixed accessories sit across stacks of both mens and womens shoes. Pricing starts at $!0 for socks and goes up to $120 for shoes. There is quite a selection of high tops for men, with a couple styles of dress shoes. For women, there is a healthy selection of sandals, booties and pumps. Nothing to write home about, but sizing is pretty good across the styles. Personally, I didn’t find anything exceptional for the price, but fans of the brand may want to stop by, if in Soho.” – Fashionable Femme Jen of Style Curated.
