Just in case you’re in town and wanting to shop for deals, here’s a roundup of Black Friday deals in New York City… (A few of them go through the weekend).

Fred Perry is hosting a three-day sale offering up to 70% off the original price at the Williamsburg Grand Street shop.  You’ll find a wide selection of one-off and rare pieces.  If you can’t make it to Brooklyn, they’re also offering deals at the Soho store. Where/When:  306 Grand Street; Nov 23-25; Also, 133 Wooster St.

Through Saturday, Kisan Concept Store in Soho is offering up to 90% off retail on apparel and accessories. Designers include Sonia Rykiel, Tsumori Chisato and Jamin Puech.  Where/When: 125 Greene Street (b/w Prince & W. Houston); Nov 23-24, 11am-7pm.

Zero + Maria Cornejo Summer Sale

The summer sale at Zero + Maria Cornejo is in full swing right now… So I decided to check out the offerings. I stopped into the boutique in Noho earlier this week. There’s still lots from the spring/summer 2012 collection to choose from. Several racks filled with signature Cornejo dresses, tunics, rompers and more… and at 60-70 percent off the retail price.

Update: Brooklyn’s Bird Boutique Winter Sale

As we enter February… retailers are wrapping up their end-of-season sales and making room for new merchandise.  Wednesday’s warm weather was a nice reminder that spring is just ahead of us.  I took the opportunity to check out the deals at the Park Slope Bird location.  It was no surprise that sale items are pretty much picked over.

LA Sale Alert: Zero + Maria Cornejo Sample Sale

I don’t usually post about sales in Los Angeles… but in this case, I’m making an exception because this one looks like it could be a hit.

Here are the details:

Thru tomorrow, Maria Cornejo is hosting a sample sale in L-A, offering pieces from 13 years of archive samples and previous seasons’ merchandise.  Footwear can also be had – shoes by LD Tuttle starting at $100.

Retailers Kick off the Summer with Sales…

Now that the warm weather has finally arrived, a number of retailers are kicking off the summer with markdowns… Here’s a few worth noting:

The Brooklyn boutique chain Bird is offering 35 percent off retail prices on select styles online, including a 3.1 Phillip Lim draped neck sleeveless merino sweater that was $350 is now $229,  a Zero + Maria Cornejo knit cardigan is now $339 (was $530), a Ligne 6 – Martin Margiela string detail shift dress is now $349 (was $535).

Margiela is also hosting its own sale offering 40 percent off its spring/summer 2011 pieces on its website.  At check out, you’ll need the code Mmmconfidentialss11us.  As Choosy Beggar reports, you can also go into the West Village store and be sure to ask politely since this really is a “private sale” that’s intended for regular customers only.  Where:  Martin Margiela, 801 Greenwich St (b/w Jane & West 12th St). 212-989-7612.

And the department stores have joined in…  Saks Fifth Avenue is giving 40 percent off on select items for women, 30 percent off for men.  Get 25 to 65 percent off at Bloomingdale’s (in store and online) during its Holiday weekend “Big Brown Bag Sale.”  Deals of up to 40 percent off can be had at Bergdorf Goodman.
