Inside the Fashion for Sandy Relief Sample Sale

Here’s our chance to shop for a great cause! Just today (Friday), the Metropolitan Pavilion has opened its doors for a charity sample sale (Fashion For Sandy Relief), which will benefit the recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy. I didn’t have much time this morning, but I did make a quick stop during the preview before they opened the doors to the public. Inside, you’ll find all sorts of apparel and accessories (includes handbags & shoes) at 60% off retail.

The September Issue: Panel Discussion with the Film’s Stars
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKXfZGV_e7A
Last week, Vogue’s Grace Coddington and André Leon Talley took part in a discussion of the documentary The September Issue at the Barnes & Noble on Union Square. The event kicked off the release of the film on DVD. The snowstorm didn’t stop people from attending. It was a packed house. I caught some of the discussion on video. Both Talley and Coddington shared their impressions of the film as well as spoke about other topics such as what defines style…
Vogue’s William Norwich moderated the panel which also included director R.J. Cutler. If you want to see more, you can go to the Barnes & Noble website where you’ll find video of the panel discussion.
