Starting tomorrow, the folks at Theory are hosting a sample sale in Soho. Get 70-percent off retail on women’s clothing and accessories by Theory, Theyskens’ Theory & Helmut Lang. The space is open today for a preview… for those on a list and those who bought a $10 entry ticket with Gilt City. 
Brit high-street retailer, AllSaints, kicked off its first-ever sample sale today in Soho. The Wooster Street space was packed this evening with a very hip downtown crowd. The line to the register appeared to be endless… and the shoppers who weren’t waiting to pay were rummaging through racks and tables. The place was a mess. Through this Wednesday, Bing Bang jewelry designer Anna Sheffield is hosting a sample sale at her showroom in Soho. We caught up with Anna yesterday at the sale… where she took us through some of her funky edgy pieces…
Winter has finally arrived (burrr!)… If you’re in the market for a coat or sweaters, NYC based designer Nili Lotan is hoping to help you out with a holiday sample sale taking place just today at her boutique in Tribeca.
Just today until 9pm, Proenza Schouler is hosting a sample sale in a large open airy loft space in Soho. If you’ve been to the label’s previous sample sales, this one isn’t on the 8th floor showroom, today it’s being held on the 3rd floor of 495 Broadway. This morning, the space was fairly chill, no crowds just a few shoppers going through the racks of clothing along the walls, organized by style.
As expected… the Diane von Furstenberg sample sale at the Flatiron started offering additional discounts today (thanks to Mizhattan for the alert!). The markdown is another 25-percent off the original sale price. That translates to… all dresses (including wrap dresses) at $100; sweaters, blouses, skirts and pants at $60; coats at $250; and so on… (check the price list after the jump below). Sale ends tomorrow at 2pm.
If you’re still looking for holiday gifts, there’s plenty of sale options this weekend. That’s why I took the day to go sale hopping. This morning, I made my first stop at Chantecaille where I managed to find a few gifts and some things for myself… Next stop, Wooster Street where Suno, Carlos Campos, Dieppa Restrepo and Illesteva have teamed up with merchandise for both men & women.
I have to agree with many of the rave reviews about Roger Vivier’s sale being held at Soiffer Haskin in Midtown. Inside is an amazing assortment of footwear for all seasons and occasions. Not only will you find the iconic pilgrim pumps (modern versions of the original shoe that Catherine Deneuve wore in the film “Belle de Jour“), you’ll also find strappy heels, sandals, ballet flats, wedges and boots in all sorts of fabrications and colors. It’s like a candy store in there. You’ll find it hard to decide what to take home. So be prepared to dish out some serious dosh!
A brisk and busy start to the Helmut Lang + Theyskens’ Theory fall sample sale today… the 2nd floor of the brand’s showroom in the Flatiron is filled with plenty of merchandise, hung neatly by style on racks. You’ll find the price lists tacked on the walls as well as sale signs for key garments placed on racks (very organized!).
The Nanette Lepore sample sale ends tonight at 7pm… a fellow shopper (thanks heather!) emailed us her impressions along with photos… She tells us that the space was a change of pace from the madness over at the DVF sample sale at the Flatiron.
