It may have been way too hot earlier this week to even think about putting on a pair of jeans. But now that it’s cooled down, it may not be a bad idea to stock up on a pair. The James Jeans sample sale west of Soho ends this afternoon. If you’re in the neighborhood, check out the sale. There was plenty of merchandise when I stopped in yesterday with deals at 50 to 75 percent off. Skinny, straight-leg, bootleg, and wide-leg styles that retailed for $180 are now $80 (2 for $150). Twiggy cargos are $60, Boyfriend jeans are $70 and denim shorts/skirts are $55 (2 for $100).
