The Elie Tahari sample sale has always been a good place to find office attire. This season’s sale goes through next Sunday. Fellow blogger, NY Keiko, checked out the goods yesterday (Saturday). She tells us there were lots of pieces for work as well as basics such as knits and accessories.

They’ve been called Pilgrim shoes – the signature buckle on Roger Vivier‘s footwear are reminiscent of that style. It may not be for everyone. But if yesterday’s turnout is any indication, the French footwear brand is a hit for lots of shoppers – some of whom waited 3 to 4 hours to get inside.

Next Monday, the German luxury fashion house, Hugo Boss, will be hosting its spring/summer collection sample sale at its showroom in the far west end of Chelsea. We don’t have details on the markdowns but the sale will feature pieces from both men’s & women’s collections. Larry Label Whore checked out the sale at 260 Fifth Avenue earlier this year. Most of the offerings there was overstock. This time, expect to find a better selection since it’s being held at the showroom.

Malia Mills Sample Sale

The Malia Mills sample sale is taking place through this Friday in the Garment District. On offer are the brand’s colorful swimwear as well as ready-to-wear pieces. Fashionable Femme Jen checked out the sale yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon to find tons of overstock. Here’s her report:
Boxes of swimwear sorted by style and size crowd the Malia Mills showroom. At 60-75% off, tankinis can be had for $75, swim separates for $50 a piece and one-piece malliots for $100. Sizing ranges from 2 to 16 for malliots and bottoms while swim tops are available in 30AA to 40E. Sizes 6-10 and 36-38 seem to have the best selection today.
