The staffers at Lauren Merkin gave me a sneak peek at the goodies before they opened the doors of their Garment District showroom to the public this morning. The set-up is very organized and you’ll find every conceivable handbag shape they make, available in a variety of leather & fabric material at 50-70% off the retail price.

Later this month… Lauren Merkin is hosting a three-day sample sale at the label’s showroom on West 29th Street. We’re told that the sale will feature limited edition clutches and new additions from its spring collection. Handbags, clutches and accessories will be up to 70% off. Bargain boxes start at $30.

Another sample sale worth noting… Lauren Merkin wants to help you update your handbags and accessories for spring by hosting a sample sale in less than two weeks. We’re told that handbags, clutches and accessories will be up to 70-percent off the original retail price. Bargain boxes start at $25 (from past experience, these boxes do offer some great stuff if you get there early).
Handbags, clutches & accessories are up to 70-percent off at the Lauren Merkin holiday sample sale which kicked off today. As expected, there will be bargain boxes from $25. Top picks include: Sylvie Black Grained Leather- was $495, now $250; Tatum Midnight Gold Foil – was $325, now $150; Ava Graphite Pearlized Metallic- was $295, now $125; Georgie Steel Textured Metallic Snake- was $250, now $100; Paige Burgundy Grained Leather- was $525, now $250. While the Lauren Merkin sample sale doesn’t open to the public until tomorrow morning at 11am, I managed to pop into the Garment District space earlier this evening to have a look…
There were plenty of signature clutches, cross-bodies, satchels, totes and accessories neatly lined up on tables, shelves… as well as bargain bins. Yes, lots of bargain bins! As you walk into the showroom, you’ll see the bargain bins ranging in price from $20, $30, $40, $50 and $60. Handbag styles included Dianas, Lucys, Tatums, Louises, Tesses and more.
