J Brand, Free People, Falls and more at the Prive’ Sample Sale

Prive’ is holding a sample sale at Chelsea Market this weekend where the sale organizers have managed to fill up the large space with plenty of goods.  They’ve teamed up a group of men’s and women’s labels, offering a mix of casual wear.  Included in the bunch is one of my fave brands, Falls who have dresses, tops, bottoms and sweaters up for grabs – all for under $100.  Artsy Anna popped in Friday afternoon to give us her review:

The multi-designer sale boasts merchandise for men and women from Comptoir des Cotonniers, Falls, Free People, Shumaq, Lewis Cho, and Josh Brody, Paul Lafontaine, Ben Sherman, and J Brand.  I left empty handed.  I flirted with a stripey Lewis Cho mini but decided that $50 was too rich for my blood.  I was so surprised by the most neglected area of the sale.  A lonely rack of the overhyped, sold out in stores, J Brand Houlihan in khaki was untouched.  Maybe because the sale price was $140.  A slightly better deal were the racks of J Brand leggings for $79.

Here’s a rundown of the prices:  Free People tops are $20, dresses $25, jackets $30.  Comptoir des Cotonniers tops are $30.  Ben Sherman men’s shirts are 60 percent off the retail price.
