Today is the final day of the Mai Cashmere sample sale. They’re ending with a couple of special deals. The first: on the label’s 100% cashmere fine gauge scarves. From 11am to 1pm, you can buy a scarf for $55 (was $320). The second, get a single-ply cotton tissue tank & tee combo for just $25. I stopped into the Garment District showroom yesterday to find still a lot of merchandise left, including cashmere pieces (tanks at$20, s/s tops $30, l/s pullovers $50, yoga pants $50) and cotton knits.
Just a reminder… Mai, is hosting a cotton & cashmere knits sample sale that starts this Tuesday. We can’t say enough about this New York City label and the designer behind it. The pieces are made of the finest cashmere from Mongolia – the yarn hand-picked.
At the sample sale, you’ll find incredible deals at a fraction of the retail price – cotton tissue tanks at $10 (s/s for $15, l/s $25), short-sleeved cashmere tops for $30 (l/s sweaters $50), cashmere/linen blend scarves at $45 and more. Mai staffer, Lindsay, gave us a peek at what to expect which includes bargain sample bins ranging from $8 to $30. Check out our video.

Cashmere is probably the last thing on your mind in this scorching heat, but there are some great deals on colorful knits at the Mai Cashmere sample sale. I popped into the press preview Tuesday night and was not disappointed. Bargains are starting at just $8 (bins containing slightly damaged past season cashmere pieces, some retailed for $345). The label’s current season items are 50-90% off retail.

There’s also great luxurious cotton tees, pullovers and cardigans for $20 (were $110 to $135). Scarves (linen, cashmere and cashmere/silk blend) are $20 and $45. The label can be found at Barneys. Designer Suzan Azuma was so gracious and sweet allowing me to videotape the showroom. One of her staffers, Kerry, took me through the racks and bins.
