Unlike the chaos at Choo, the atmosphere was chill at the D&G sample sale in the MePa. The pickings were random – pieces from past seasons. There was a real mix of stuff from T-shirts to gold taffeta cocktail dresses to hot pink/red see-through plastic rain coats. Pricing was so-so depending on [...]

Dolce & Gabbana is hosting a sample sale at the Metropolitan Pavilion through this Sunday (March 14). On offer are cocktail dresses, jackets, tailored pants, handbags, shoes and more for 60 to 90 percent off the original retail price. There’s clothing and accessories for men, women and children from the 2009 collection [...] I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked into this sale… the amount of merchandise was staggering. Both the Italian high-end (Dolce & Gabbana) and D&G lines are discounted. The D&G folks managed to fill the Metropolitan Pavilion on 18th Street with lots of goods – dresses, skirts, pants, and all sorts of accessories from [...] |
