Mark your calendars, the dates have been revealed for the Barneys Warehouse Sale… Racked’s inside sources reports the sale is expected to start on Thursday, February 16th.

What else can I add about the Barneys Warehouse Sale? It’s the bottom of the barrel and Barneys isn’t the only one scraping it. I stopped in tonight after surveying the goods at Chelsea’s Housing Works store down 17th Street (I’ll publish a post about Housing Works’ “Best of Fall” sale sometime tomorrow).
With only three more days of the Barneys Warehouse Sale, organizers have slashed sale prices even further – 40 to 75 percent off. Sunday afternoon was not too crowded. Women’s designer, RTW and shoes are now an extra 50-percent off… men’s suits, shoes, trousers and sportcoats are an additional 40-percent off [...]
With the sale ending in a few days, the Barneys Warehouse Sale has slashed sale prices further for the Holiday weekend… Check out the complete price list above. The selection is pretty much picked over. But if you’re willing (and in the mood) to dig through the merchandise, you might find a few things.
The first markdowns at the Barneys Warehouse Sale has already started… I found out tonight when I popped into the space in Chelsea. A staffer told me that they began offering further discounts on Sunday when they were open for four hours after Hurricane Irene moved north.

We continue our Barneys Warehouse Sale coverage with a look at women’s designer clothing… I was happy to see that the women’s stuff is back on the main floor – a much better location than the dingy basement level (organizers must have listened to complaints from last winter’s sale).
Now onto the goods… which the first thing I noticed is the depleted selection of women’s designer duds. In previous sales, they’ve had racks and racks of merchandise. Not this year, just a smaller section near the exit. Plus, there wasn’t as many designers on offer. The selection was so limited this time around that the racks have been organized by size instead of label. 
The madness began today at the semi-annual Barneys Warehouse Sale in Chelsea. While it’s best to wait until the last week for the best deals, die-hard shoppers were lined up at the crack of dawn. I made it inside around 10am this morning. My intention was to survey the merchandise and to see if there were any gems. As if we needed reminding, but thought I’d send one out anyway… This Thursday, the madness begins at the much-anticipated Barneys Warehouse Sale in Chelse, which goes through Labor Day. Deals are at 50 to 70 percent off retail prices on selected designer clothing, shoes, accessories for men, women and kids [...] |
