The Scoop Warehouse Sale goes for another couple of weeks, giving us plenty of time to check it out. Fashionable Femme Jen stopped in over the weekend. She reports on a pretty good selection of high-end designer goods, except for the handbags…
“A Sunday afternoon stroll in Soho brought me towards the Scoop Warehouse sale. Unlike its sister store in the Meatpacking District, this Scoop store seems to have a decent designer sale selection. Here’s a snippet of the women’s offerings.
The back third of the store is devoted to the sale, which currently includes an additional 50% discount off sale pricing. Unfortunately, there are only a couple shelves of handbags. I spot a couple Marc Jacobs Violet purses (the same variety spotted earlier this year at the Barney’s warehouse sale), one light blue Marc Jacobs Victoria hobo for about $600 after discount, a couple Angel Jackson sequin and printed styles and one ABACO Leather-Fur clutch. Next, come a couple shelves of accessories, including brown DVF long leather gloves for a little over $100 and a bin of hosiery and belts.
A wall of women’s shoes lines the right wall. Of the selection, I see Jimmy Choo booties in sizes 7-10 for $389.50 (orig. $1,295—a 70% discount!), a couple bootie and sandal styles by Alexander Wang, a couple Missoni flats and a pretty decent selection of Maison Martin Margiela boots and booties ($224.50 after discount).
Racks of discount designer clothing fill the whole back section of the store. Notably, there is a rack of fur vests and outerwear and also a section of jeans. The bulk of the space is filled with skirts, dresses, tops and jackets. Brands ranging from Velvet to Maison Martin Margiela to IRO, DVF, Michael Kors and Chloe line up for the picking. Highlights include a buttery soft tan Chloe jacket for $599, a black Maison Martin Margiela blazer with textured embellishment for $400, an ivory Maison Martin Margiela V-neck knit for $149.50 (notice the snags and pulls), a Missoni skirt for $239 and a T by Alexander Wang cowl neck dress for $54.
If you’re interested in grabbing a designer deal, it may be worth stopping by Scoop in Soho. There’s a good range of sizing and a decent selection. However, take care to inspect things thoroughly before buying!”
