MINT Jodi Arnold has set up a pop-up shop in Soho where spring merchandise is 60% off the retail price.  The shop is spacious with high ceilings and the racks of clothing are lined along the walls.  When I stopped in Thursday night, I found a DJ spinning tunes and wine was being served.  Designer Jodi Arnold was on hand to help shoppers sort through her stuff.

I ran into a friend, Julie, who had her eye on two dresses:  the silk-linen blend Tie-Waist dress ($190, originally $488) fit for an Egyptian Queen with a stunning gold ceremonial necklace and the Caftan dress ($198, originally $495) with toggle beads on the V-neckline has a unique paisley print.  I thought the shape on this dress was flattering on her, especially since the crinkle chiffon fabric made it lightweight and flowy.  Julie liked the print and details, including the suede belt that cinches the waist.

The silk chiffon Medallion top ($150) with its embellishment of torn strips of chiffon caught my attention.  The silk crepe de chine Masai Tie-Waist dress ($190) was also something I was eye-ing.  According to Melissa Pauly, Production Manager at MINT Jodi Arnold, the combination of hand beadwork, sequins, and threadwork are the focal point of this dress.

This sale goes on through Sunday June 14th, 12-6pm.

Where/When: 286 Lafayette St., nr. Prince St.
