The Bottega Veneta sample sale being held at the Metropolitan Pavilion ends today (Thursday) at 7pm. We checked it out first thing this morning when there was no line.
Cellphones aren’t allowed inside so we couldn’t snap any photos. But we’ll give you the lowdown on the deals.
As far as what’s left… not surprisingly, the selection is sparse. The merchandise is neatly organized with men’s on one side and women’s on the other.
Further reductions are being offered today on select items.
Handbags are displayed on tables along one side of the room. We spotted large totes from $500 (canvas/leather trim) to $1,000+ for leather and exotics. There were small shoulder bags going for $350 and other smaller ones for $125 (including the exotics). Wallets are now $125 (only one style left).
There were no signature styles available such as the recognizable Intrecciato (weave) bags or wallets, which is as we all know is synonymous with the Italian brand.
Other accessories are now $30-$50. No more sunglasses.
As for clothing, the selection has really thinned out. The sale price for a few items has been slashed including jackets ($100), knits/pants ($40) and skirts ($30).
A limited selection of shoes (men/women) are also available from $100-$200.
Not really worth stopping in unless you happen to be in the neighborhood. Click here to our Calendar Page for location details to this and other sale events in New York City.
