Fine Italian linen label, Frette, started its sample sale a day early. I popped in last night to survey the offerings. I’ve been looking for bedding to go with my Frette duvet cover so I thought this would be a good opportunity to find something.
The bedding (sheets and duvet covers) were the most sought after at the preview sale. They could be found on tables near the entrance. If you’ve got a king size bed, you’ll do well here finding all sorts of patterns (solids & prints). There was a limited selection of queen sized-sheets and duvet sets and even less for full-size beds. As for pricing, Frette Edmond duvet covers/bedsets were going for $195, top sheets were $95, fitted bottom sheets at $65. Plain bedsets (flat and fitted sheets, plus standard pillows) were starting at $100 for full-sized and $249 for queen.
Other items included: bath towels/sheets ($30); hand towels ($10); wash cloths ($5); Jingle table cloths ($150); plain table cloths ($40); linen napkins ($20 for 4) and loungewear (cashmere robes at $300, nightgowns/PJs/robes $90, and slippers $50). There was also a section of accessories (leather placemats at $45, leather iPhone cases at $50 and leather iPad covers for $100 as well as canvas bags for $145).
Also up for grabs – a bit of luxury for your bed – were authentic mink fur decorative pillows for $1,500.
