Having recently renovated my kitchen, I’ve been a bit obsessed with home furnishings… So when I heard that Gracious Home was having a sale, I was excited. This local chain carries so much great stuff for every room in your home as well as the patio (from housewares to hardware). I thought I’d find a few things…
The sale started yesterday. While I really didn’t need much, I wanted some new things to spruce up the new kitchen. What better time to look than during a sale? I ventured into the UWS store (Broadway & 67th St) yesterday. I was hoping to find more of the everyday bone china mugs I bought a few months back. While I couldn’t find the same mugs, they did have tea cups, sugar bowls, creamers, tea pots and more for around 30% off retail. These items can be found on the main floor where there were deals (25-50% off) on a jumble of stuff such as dinnerware, lanterns and more for your garden parties to fancy planters, fake flowers and beach towels. The main level looked as if they were having a yard sale, trying to get rid of old stock.
The bargains weren’t as great as I was hoping they would be. Although, they had some arbitrary bargains such as a pair of modern sleek silver salt & pepper shakers for $23.99 (was $85). Downstairs on the other two floors were random items on sale such as bedding, Tumi luggage, lamps and glassware. The various “Clearance” signs will let you know what’s on sale.
