Two brands, Herve Leger and BCBG Max Azria have teamed up for a sample sale in Soho (150 Greene Street). Fashionable Femme Jen checked out the deals yesterday and gives us her review:
“Racks and Racks of vintage styles await the savvy shopper at the Harve Leger / BCBG MaxAzria sale. One big note is that because this is an “archive” and “sample” event, almost every dress is a size “Small” (that fits like an x-small). If you fit a size XS or S, an amazing selection of Harve Leger dresses await. Have a look at the photos for a better sense of the selection—everything from solids to wild patterns to crazy embellishments.
Pricing ranges from $50 for swimwear to $125 for seperates (top, pants, skirt), to $200 for a cocktail dress and $950 for a long fur jacket; Price list is in the photos. By far the highest concentration of product is dresses—many with “vintage” and sample production tags. I see a ton of small, short cropped leather jackets as well, most with over-the-top embellishments. A handful of handbags ($75) and accessories is available near the cashiers in the front (not much to write home about) and a couple pairs of shoes are available in the back (again, not a big spread).
On the BCBG side, there is a scant selection with assorted sizing. If you dig, there are some cute pieces, but nothing to jump for, in my opinion. Pricing ranges from $75 for a top to $100 for a cocktail dress to $750 for a long fur jacket.
A shared dressing room is available in the back with a limit of 10 people at a time. Be prepared to wait! May be worth the fly by for small sized fans of Harve Leger.” – Fashionable Femme Jen of Style Curated
