The end-of-summer sale for NYC based footwear label Sigerson Morrison is well underway at the Soho boutique on Prince Street. Design duo Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison walked away from their namesake shoe company last spring. The current season spring/summer collection – which are on sale – were designed without the two. The original price points are lower with this new line (a factor could be that this new collection is no longer being made in Italy). However, with the lower prices, comes better discounts.
Both the main collection and diffusion line, Belle, can be found in the Prince Street boutique. The discount is now at 70% off the spring/summer collection. I’m told that the sale has been going for about a week now so sizing and selection is limited. However, there was still plenty of styles on offer when I stopped in over the weekend. I spotted sandals from the main collection, including the Kade with banded leather straps for $88.50 (was $295), The Kelly which reminds me of something Cleopatra would wear in gold (is now $118.50, was $395), and the Rebecca gladiator sandals at $105 (was $350). There were also flats such as the Bonny – a tri-color woven leather round-toe going for $118.50 (was $395) and the mid-heel strappy Givon for $117.70 (was $395). Better bargains can be had with Belle footwear where you can get a pair of sandals for as low as $52.50 (was $175). The sale is also available online. I suggest looking there first before hitting the store.
