Sigerson Morrison: Bargains on Belle at 40-percent

NYC-based footwear label Sigerson Morrison is taking a break this winter season.  The swank brand’s e-site says it will be back in Spring 2012.  For a few years now, I often stopped into the Nolita boutique on Prince Street looking for end-of-season deals…  However this time, I was disappointed not to find the signature collection’s chic stylish shoes on display there.  Instead, the sister label, Belle by Sigerson Morrison can be had.

Earlier this year, Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison called it quits at their eponymous shoe brand.  This hiatus for the signature collection is probably part of the parent company’s (Marc Fisher Footwear) plan to overhaul both collections.  We’ll see what happens in spring…

As for the winter sale…  Belle shoes are now at 40-percent off the original price, includes the following:   The patchwork flat boot is now $297 (was $495); the classic low-cut bootie is now $206.50 (was $295); the taupe suede flats with fringe is now $135 (was $225).  The sale is also available online.  In the past, the seasonal markdowns have dropped to 70-percent off.  Might be worth waiting for that…

Where/When:  Belle by Sigerson Morrison, 28 Prince St (b/w Mott & Elizabeth).  212-219-3893.  Ongoing.
