The sale at the Manolo Blahnik boutique on West 54th Street just got better this week. But with the final markdowns also come the crowds… A short line had formed outside the shop an hour before closing on Monday. Once inside, it was madness. Shoes and boxes all over the floor. Women were frantically looking for something in their size. And sales associates trying to keep up!
Surprisingly, there were still some great finds to be had. Figuring out pricing and sizing is fairly simple; just look at the bottom of the display shoes for available sizes and colored dots (orange = $195; red = $250; blue = $275; yellow = $350). You won’t find a lot of classics. But there were quite a few fun and colorful styles for $275 and under. Plus, a rainbow of shoes in alligator skin ($2000). This evening, there was a pretty good selection of footwear going for $195 (pumps, strappy sandals, kitten heels and flats). But those were going fast. If you’re a fan, head over there quickly. This sale is only taking place for another couple of days…
