Downtown, there was a different kind of crowd (and boy was it crowded!) at the showroom of NYC based footwear brand, Loeffler Randall. Here, the shoes & boots were inside clear plastic bags neatly arranged on steel rods by size. Go to the section for your size and have at it. The space wasn’t tiny but it was too small to comfortably handle the crush of girls searching for a shoe and then trying to find a place to slip them on. You were lucky to get one of the few chairs strategically placed in the room. Otherwise, you found yourself sitting on the floor.

The selection was pretty good. Lots of different styles such as the Esther platform pump, Nadia espadrille platform booties, Luca mignon flat sandals, Quinnie pointed toe flats, Darcy platform pump, Roanne mignon sandals, Willow mignon knot flat, June lace-up bootie, and more… Flats and sandals were going for $125. Heels were priced at $175-$250, Boots at $300-$350. At the end of the first day of the sale, there was still plenty of styles and a range of sizes. I’m told that most of the styles are out and if you can’t find your size in something, it’s worth asking a staffer. They may have your size in the back.
