The Eddie Borgo sample sale goes through tomorrow (Saturday). We checked out the deals on women’s punk-inspired jewelry and handbags. Mushkie has our report:
“Glad to say prices have remained the same since their last sample sale. As it was last time, the jewelry is laid out on trays on tables. Rings are $15/$25; bracelets are $20/$40; earrings are $25/$45; necklaces are $40/$60; and statement necklaces are $70.
Jewelry boxes are $150. For the first time handbags are on offer as well! There are10 style handbags ranging from $200-$1,200.
The Eddie Borgo for Target collaboration is available as well. There is one bucket full of jewelry, bag charm sets, dream catchers and straps that are all $5. Mini bags are $10.
There are 4 bins on the floor near the register. 2 of them are $10 and are private labels designed by Eddie Borgo for other companies. I spotted Charles Russe, Banana Republic, Fresh, Hothouse, Rebecca Minkoff, and other brands in the mix.
The other 2 bins have damaged Eddie Borgo jewelry for $5! This is the best deal because most of the damages you can fix yourself or can still wear!
There was an aggressive crowd this morning that wiped out the damaged buckets. I was hoping there would still be some $5 damaged Eddie Borgo bracelets but everything was mixed up and all 4 bins now have the private pieces.
Another shopper had the same idea as me and was sitting on the floor meticulously sorting through the buckets. She didn’t have any luck finding Eddie Borgo damaged jewelry and told me there is so much junk!
Staff are constantly going to the back room and replenishing all categories. I was told there is no more sterling left in the back stock.
Staff are extremely polite and helpful answering all questions and checking in the back for requested styles.
On Friday, they’ll receive a new shipment and putting out different style studs, bracelets, and rings from what we found on Thursday. We hear, the new pieces will be more simple and not the statement ones.
I asked about restocking the damaged bins and was told they have a huge closet in the back room that they have to sort through and they will definitely be putting out damaged pieces! – Mushkie of Holy in Mundane
