After hearing that some shoppers waited 3-hours on the first day of the Dolce & Gabbana sale, we were surprised that there was no line this (Friday) morning. The sale is being held at Soiffer Haskin at 317 W. 33rd Street near Penn Station.
We didn’t have much time, just a few minutes to survey the offerings. There’s a lot of clothing for both women and men. A limited selection of children’s wear and shoes.
Women’s accessories, including handbags are near the entrance. The selection was fairly limited to mostly exotic skin and fur. An example is a python/pony hair large handbag at $745 (orig. $3,790). We saw no sunglasses or wallets. We did see small accessories such as key chains.
As for the markdowns, the items we picked up were 80%-85% off retail. The higher the retail price, the more the savings. Check out the pricelist in the gallery below.
Other sale items include:
- Women’s gowns $745
- Woman’s leather jacket $745
- Wool leggings $125 (was $745)
- Claudia Schiffer T-shirt $95 (was $415)
- Shoes: Wedges $235. Boots with hearts $275 (was $1,795), Red Python polka dotted pump $195 (was $1,195)
- Lingerie: Panties $75-$95, Bras $45

- Men’s leather jacket $1,000

This morning, an email was sent out that sale organizers were now offering further reductions on sale items. But when we stopped in, the price slashing was not evident. If you stop in today, let us know if there are indeed additional discounts. Also, we’d love to hear from you on what you thought of the sale…
