We didn’t know much about Dôen – a bohemian-inspired clothing collection – until one of our L-A contributors (thanks, Sheri!) told us a bit about the brand. Of course, we had to check out the sample sale at 260’s location at 150 Greene Street in Soho.

The sale goes through this Sunday, Feb 10th. Already, much of the merchandise was being picked over on the first day of the sale. That said, there was still plenty of on offer when we were there Wednesday evening.

Highlights include feminine wardrobe staples for women, including the label’s signature long, flowy dresses as well as tops and racks of sweaters. There was even a number of items for little girls.

Pricing was pretty good with dresses at $65 and $100. Sweaters start at $60. Tops are $60 and $80.

Much of what’s here appears to be from Fall 2018 and some pieces from the Spring Collection. There’s a range of sizes from small to large.

In the back of the space, you’ll find boots, flats and sandals ranging from $40 to $90.

There’s a communal dressing room in the back.

This direct-to-consumer label is designed and produced by a collective of eight women in Los Angeles. It started in 2016 and was originally inspired by sisters’ (Margaret and Katherine Kleveland) from Santa Barbara.

All of the factories Dôen employs — in India and Peru — are owned or co-owned by women and are ethically run.
