Fivestory, a luxury women’s retailer in New York City, is hosting a sample sale in Soho this week. We stopped Tuesday evening, the first day of the sale.

Signs posted throughout the space stated the discount being 75% off retail. But if you read the fine print, items marked in red are only 50% off. That said, most sale items are being offered the biggest discount.

There’s plenty of high-end designer merchandise; the clothing hang on racks throughout the space and are organized by style. While most of the offerings were for women. There were a couple of racks of children’s clothing.

The footwear (mostly heels) can be found in the back of the space. Many of the offerings are one-offs and sizing is limited.

There’s also a limited selection of jewelry in glass cases near the front. Other accessories and home goods are in the same vicinity. These items are all 75% off retail.

Examples of deals include – a Mary Katrantzou dress for $1,150 (orig. $2,304). That’s pricey but there were items for far less such as 3×1 denim ($48), Mugler jeans ($148). Narciso Rodriguez leather pants for $273 (orig. $1,095). Roland Mouret dress for $661 (orig. $2,645). Alexander Lewis cashmere sweater for $275 (orig. $1,100).
