With spring just around the corner… it’s about time to stock up on cotton basics (think tees and tanks). Here’s one deal that will help in our search… Through Friday, J.Crew is offering 20-percent off on select knits. The sale is taking place online only. 
The Morgane Le Fay sample sale goes through tomorrow… Yesterday, I did a check on what was left. After three days, the merchandise was fairly picked over…
It’s quite a hike unless you live in the ‘hood or are in the area… The weekend sample sale for Brooklyn boutique, In God We Trust ends today. If you’re near a G-train, it’s worth a look-see. The Morgane Le Fay stock and sample sale starts tomorrow (Friday)… and the folks at the label’s studio (thanks, Josh & Hanna!) were kind enough to allow me to shoot video as they finished setting up. The preview gives you a pretty good idea of what’s up for grabs. As we enter February… retailers are wrapping up their end-of-season sales and making room for new merchandise. Wednesday’s warm weather was a nice reminder that spring is just ahead of us. I took the opportunity to check out the deals at the Park Slope Bird location. It was no surprise that sale items are pretty much picked over.
Starting tomorrow, Kisan Concept Store in Soho is hosting its end-of-season sale with discounts at up to 70-percent off clothing, shoes, kids’ wear, jewelry, and accessories. When I stopped in earlier this week, the sale was still at 40-60 percent off with most pieces at 40-percent and a few marked down to 60-percent. There were tons of merchandise… several racks of great finds from the French quirky label, Sonia Rykiel to cutsey chic pieces by the Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato.
Morgane Le Fay (a label known for its special occasion and bridal collection often conjuring up fairy-tale images) is hosting a sample sale starting on Friday.
Brooklyn’s Eva Gentry Consignment shop on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill is now offering 40-percent off select merchandise. It’s the end-of-season and there are deals to be had here where you’ll find great vintage and designer castoffs. Fashion-forward retailer, Intermix, is making its winter sale more attractive by offering an extra 50-percent off the sale price. But as fellow shopper, Laura, found out, the appalling service is killing the shopping experience. Here’s what she had to say about her experience at the Madison Avenue boutique:
