Mark your calendars, the dates have been revealed for the Barneys Warehouse Sale… Racked’s inside sources reports the sale is expected to start on Thursday, February 16th.

If you’ve ever been to ABC Carpet & Home near Union Square, you’ll know that it’s full of great stuff for your home as well as your closets… Through Sunday, January 22nd, the huge emporium is hosting its end-of-season sale. While the signs say “up to 75-percent off,” most of the items I spotted were marked down 30-50% off the original price. Filene’s Basement, closed its doors for good on Thursday. The storied discount retailer filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. I stopped into the Union Square location a couple of hours before they shuttered.
The J.Crew sample sale in the Flatiron District kicked off this morning… Here’s a photo of the line a few minutes before they opened the doors and it snaked around the block down 28th Street. I managed to get in to do a review before the shoppers were let inside. Working [...]
Our friends over at Pint Size Social (an online magazine for kids and their trendsetting parents) managed to get into the Bonpoint preview sale on Tuesday. Meredith tells us that the sale was very organized and impressive. Here’s what she found:
The Zadig & Voltaire sample sale ends tomorrow… we received a notice from sale organizers last night that they’ll be offering further reductions… an additional 20-percent off the sale price on women’s dresses, tops, sweaters, tees, handbags as well as men’s shirts, pants and more… Where/When:Â 260 Fifth Ave., [...] Â Through the end of the month, Housing Works Thrift Shops is hosting it’s annual “Best of Fall” shopping events… where you can get deals on used furniture, fashion and artwork.
Yesterday evening’s downpour didn’t dissuade hardcore shoppers from showing up at the Chelsea location. At 6pm, it was packed and there was a line at the register.  If you’re willing to dig through the stuff (and there’s a lot of stuff), you’re likely to find some gems… anything from a Herman Miller chair ($175) to a Prada knit top ($50) – items that caught my eye last night.
With only three more days of the Barneys Warehouse Sale, organizers have slashed sale prices even further – 40 to 75 percent off. Sunday afternoon was not too crowded. Women’s designer, RTW and shoes are now an extra 50-percent off… men’s suits, shoes, trousers and sportcoats are an additional 40-percent off [...]
With the sale ending in a few days, the Barneys Warehouse Sale has slashed sale prices further for the Holiday weekend… Check out the complete price list above. The selection is pretty much picked over. But if you’re willing (and in the mood) to dig through the merchandise, you might find a few things.
The first markdowns at the Barneys Warehouse Sale has already started… I found out tonight when I popped into the space in Chelsea. A staffer told me that they began offering further discounts on Sunday when they were open for four hours after Hurricane Irene moved north. |
