I found a shopping frenzy at the Botkier sample sale. What appeared to be the technique tonight was to grab the bags and decide later which one to buy. This sale shows women still need their handbags even in this economic climate. One woman was drooling over the black Margot handbag I was toting. She said it was the perfect handbag - one she had been searching f[...]

A steady stream of shoppers stopped by the Twinkle sale today after work. According to an employee, the sale hasn't been too busy - some takers at lunch time and after work. Prices are more expensive than their last sale. But this time it's a bit more organized. Silk dresses were $78-$179. Silk tops, skirts and pants were just over $100. There's limited[...]
There weren't many takers tonight at the Max Mara sale. That's probably because there wasn't anything fabulous to buy - despite the racks upon racks of merchandise. What was on sale appeared to be leftovers from past seasons. Quite a selection of sample tops and blouses - size 6 or 8 - priced between $100-$200. The handbags and shoes were uninspiring. But to my surprise, the sales girls came out to assure everyone in line[...]
Sigerson Morrison shoes are de rigueur for style-conscious New Yorkers. I'm a big fan of FIT grads Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison's simple, clean and modern designs. When I use to live in Nolita, I would stop by the chic little shop on Prince Street to check out the season's new styles. For months, I've been waiting for this sale to finally take place. So [...]
The Italian handbag maker Furla was taking up to 70 percent off handbags, shoes, and accessories on April 22-23rd. There were a lot of 80's inspired bags - an ongoing trend that won't go away. Not a lot of stuff at the sale caught my eye, except for a red hobo with silver straps - the $395 price tag was a bit costly for what it was.
