As we enter February… retailers are wrapping up their end-of-season sales and making room for new merchandise. Wednesday’s warm weather was a nice reminder that spring is just ahead of us. I took the opportunity to check out the deals at the Park Slope Bird location. It was no surprise that sale items are pretty much picked over.
Brooklyn’s Eva Gentry Consignment shop on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill is now offering 40-percent off select merchandise. It’s the end-of-season and there are deals to be had here where you’ll find great vintage and designer castoffs. Fashion-forward retailer, Intermix, is making its winter sale more attractive by offering an extra 50-percent off the sale price. But as fellow shopper, Laura, found out, the appalling service is killing the shopping experience. Here’s what she had to say about her experience at the Madison Avenue boutique:
Japanese retailer, Uniqlo, is holding its winter sale. At the New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue, I checked out the goods on the 2nd Floor where the Jil Sander (+J) collaboration pieces can be found. There are great deals on winter essentials such as coats, sweaters and more.
French clothing label agnès b is hosting its end-of-season sale… Over the weekend, I stopped into the store on Howard Street in Soho. I made a quick stop into the Theory sale in Soho on Wednesday… the discount is still at 70-percent off and there was a lot of merchandise left. A new shipment of goods just arrived when we got there. Staffers were taking the boxes into the back room so they could replenish the sales floor.
NYC-based designer Tess Giberson is hosting a sample sale this week at her Soho boutique on Crosby Street… Her modern pieces from the fall/winter collection is 60-percent off. There are also actual samples for a lot less…
If you’ve ever been to ABC Carpet & Home near Union Square, you’ll know that it’s full of great stuff for your home as well as your closets… Through Sunday, January 22nd, the huge emporium is hosting its end-of-season sale. While the signs say “up to 75-percent off,” most of the items I spotted were marked down 30-50% off the original price. |
