Housing Works annual FASHION FOR ACTION charity benefit kicked off last night in Chelsea. This year’s co-chairs Zac Posen and John Varvatos came together with New York City’s charitable and social communities to present a curated collection of more than 200 designer brands.
Lulu Frost combines vintage style with modern design to create covetable pieces. Starting today, the New York based jewelry line is hosting a sample sale which goes through tomorrow. Christina attended yesterday’s friends and family preview and gives us a review:
“I was fortunate enough to get invited to yesterday’s Friends & Family portion of the Lulu Frost Sample Sale, which opens to the public at noon today.
Theory offers great basic pieces for work. This week, the brand is holding a sample sale at Clothingline in the Garment District. Christina checked it out on Tuesday afternoon when she didn’t have to wait to get in but she did say that it was crowded in the sale space. Christina gives us the run-down on the sale…
The Simon Showroom in the Flatiron District is hosting a two-day sample sale which kicks off today. There’s discounts on a number of brands, including IRO, IRO Jeans, DWP, Lauren Moffatt and Laveer.
The Rebecca Minkoff sample sale opened to the public today at 260 Fifth Avenue. A new contributor, one of our avid readers, stopped in earlier and gives us her impression. Mushkie tells us that the wait was short this afternoon and the selection great.
“This was the most organized and calm Rebecca Minkoff sample sale I have ever attended. I got in line a little before 1 and got in 10 minutes later. When I left 45 minutes later there were 5 people waiting to get in.
