The Row and Dolce & Gabbana sales aren’t the only ones drawing a crowd. The busy scene at the White + Warren one-day sample sale this morning is indication that this brand has plenty of fans. Also, the fact that they know how to hold a sample sale – incredible finds at great prices. While I was there, I overheard a woman who was at the register tell a staffer: ”…you guys always have the BEST sales!”
I was told that women were already lined up by 7am today. I got there an hour into the sale and customers were walking out with large shopping bags. Those who were inside were digging through the boxes. Less than two hours into the sale, the merchandise was already picked through. At this point, there really was no order as to what styles are in which boxes. You’ll need to spend time looking through the bins. As for the pricing… all cashmere pieces were $40 as were jackets, non-cashmere at $25 (that means cotton, wool blends, etc), accessories now at $20 (I did spot a few wool/cashmere gloves in a bin by the window), t-shirts $15. I only had a few minutes this morning before heading to work so I quickly looked through the boxes. I spotted a few gems, including a heather gray cashmere turtleneck (perfect for cooler temps ahead), a royal blue basic 3/4 inch sleeve cardigan, a royal blue summer weight cotton V-neck and a cashmere dress which I’m told was dropped from the holiday collection. The line to pay was so long that I had to leave behind my finds…
Good news for those wanting to hit up the sale at lunch-time, I’m told that staffers plan to restock. They apparently have a few more samples to put out. Sale takes place ONLY today and ends at 4pm.
