As we enter February… retailers are wrapping up their end-of-season sales and making room for new merchandise. Wednesday’s warm weather was a nice reminder that spring is just ahead of us. I took the opportunity to check out the deals at the Park Slope Bird location. It was no surprise that sale items are pretty much picked over.
The new spring collections are already out in the front of the store. Most of the sale items (especially for women) can be found in the back. The discount is now up to 75-percent off for some items but most of the pieces I spotted were still at half off… including Alexander Wang tees at $39 (was $76); a navy Zero + Maria Cornejo aris cardigan is now $119 (was $495).
Here’s more spotted at the store:
Rag & Bone jeans ($69); APC jeans ($99); APC dress ($239); Matta silk top ($109); Madewell denim top ($69); APC cashmere sweater ($269); Edith Miller striped tees ($49); Leroy & Perry cardigan with a fake fur collar ($249); Inhabit cashmere sweater ($159); Suno blouse ($99); Tucker top ($99).
At the end of every season… Bird has been known to host a warehouse sale at 75-percent off the original retail price. It might be worth waiting for that when sale items from all three stores are consolidated into this blowout event.
Where/When: Various hours and locations for the Bird Boutique. The sale is also taking place online. Ongoing.
