There are a few sales worth noting later this week… Here’s a sampling:
Third party vendor, Designer Expo NYC, is hosting a Giorgio Armani sample sale in the Meatpacking District starting this Thursday. Unfortunately for the gents, we’re told they’re only selling off women’s merchandise. These are the same guys who held the D&G sale last spring where deals were pretty good and merchandise was mixed. This time around, we’re told the markdown will be 80% off pieces from the main Giorgio Armani collection and Armani Collezione. Giorgio Armani tops will be $99 (orig. $325-$1,295), sweaters at $199 (orig. $1,275-$3,350), blazers at $499 (orig. $2,275-$3,825) and more. Armani Collezione jackets will be tagged at $149 to $299 (orig. $475-$2,800), dresses at $299 (orig. $1,495-$1,995). Where/When: Designer Expo NYC, 407 @. 13th St., (b/w 9th Ave & Washington). On Thursday Wednesday, the Dolce & Gabbana sample sale starts at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. No details on merchandise and markdowns. Where/When: Metropolitan Pavilion, 123 West 18th St., 5th Floor. Wed, Sept 19th thru Sun, Sept 23rd; Wed (1-6p), Thurs-Sat (10-6p), Sun (11-5p).
Also on Thursday, Soiffer Haskin is hosting a sale on accessories and ready-to-wear pieces from the Olsen twins line, The Row. As far as we can recall, this is the first time the sale will be taking place in this Midtown location. We don’t have any details on markdowns or specifics on offerings. But we’re hoping a few of the handbags will be up for grabs. If we get more information, we’ll make sure to post an update. Where/When: 317 West 33rd Street (just west of 8th Avenue). Thurs, Sept 20th – Sun, Sept 23rd. Thurs-Sat (9-6:30p), Sun (9-5p).
