One of our readers who went to the preview sale this afternoon of Beyond Vintage sent us a rundown of her findings. The sample sale is taking place in the Garment District. Our tipster reports pretty affordable prices: “…merchandise was priced at $40 (tops and skirts), $60 (tops), or $80 (dresses and sequined/beaded pieces)… 1 rack of one of a kind samples that started at $15. Staff was super friendly. Lots of very cute clothes for a fraction of the original price.”
We hear that the sale will feature more than 400 vintage-inspired pieces at 50-80% off retail. The sale opens to the public tomorrow and goes through this Friday.
Where/When: 275 West 39th Street, 2nd Floor (at 8th Avenue). Oct 23-Oct 26 (10am-6pm).

I went this morning. They have a lot of stock and I think they’ll need to cut prices. Everyone was walking out without buying anything. I personally thought that it was overpriced for the quality of the clothing. The $60 racks should be $40, at a minimum. I would skip this sale.
i went this afternoon and found several beautifully made things – - a dress, fantastic print circle skirt and blouse with just a hint of lace.. There were several other things i liked and could not spring for. I think it’s well worth it and the staff is super helpful.
