When I heard that UNIQLO received an unexpected shipment of +J collection designed by Jil Sander, I had to see the goodies. The white curtains are now gone but the +J section is still there on the main floor of the SoHo flagship. The selection has been replenished. For women, I found more coats, including basic wool blazers for $85.50 in black, waist designed wool jackets for $99.50 in black and gray and long and short puffer jackets for $69.50 to $129.50. There were plenty of cashmere sweaters (turtleneck, pullover and cardigans) for $99.50 and $129.50. There were also more basic long sleeve shirts and button down oxford shirts for $39.50. For men, there were gray basic wool blazers for $129.50, cashmere V neck sweaters for $129.50 and cardigans for $149.50 and woven shirts for $39.50.
The new merchandise comes directly from Japan to provide more product for those who missed out last month. The one catch is the sizes are for the Japanese customer, which means a slightly smaller cut than the average American. To make sure you know the difference in sizing, the store has posted size translation charts over the tables and racks with the new merchandise.

Sally — with the new shipment, do you know if they replenished the wool pencil skirts (black & grey) for women?
I didn’t see any wool pencil skirts. Mostly coats, woven shirts and cashmere sweaters. But a salesperson said they were getting another shipment end of this week. She didn’t say which day. I’ll check in with them later this week and let you know.

I did see some velvet blazers for men but they were all Large. I went Sunday afternoon so they could have restocked. You should call the store to check if they have any in your size. Here’s the number: 917-237-8800.

I’d been in Uniqlo once when it first opened and the sweaters were pilling on the shelf and 1 ply cashmere. But due to your interest in the J line I gave it another shot today. Totally love the J cashmere turtle neck (thick and soft) and cute button down shirts. Will definately buy one when I have more time.
That’s great, Deme. I bought one of +J’s cashmere V-necks in purple. I LOVE it. So plush. If you compare the +J cashmere to the other cashmere sweaters at Uniqlo, you notice that +J is better quality. I’m still hoping they get in more of the light-weight basic black blazers…
