Larry Label Whore is a true bargain shopper. He not only collects high-end designer merchandise at a fraction of the price, but he also likes to mix up his wardrobe with mainstream basics. Larry tells us about the current deals at one of his favorite retailers:
“Anyone who’s read my reviews for this blog knows that I’m a label whore, but my closet isn’t all filled with just high-end designers. My favorite go-to destination is the always, reliable Banana Republic. I shop there frequently because they have great clothes and even better deals. Today was no exception.
As I have mentioned before, you must wait until retailers markdown their items to final sale. Items are often discounted over 90% off. When I stopped by the store at Rockefeller Center I found some amazing deals.
I spotted a rack of blazers originally $450-$500 down to final sale at $59.97!! On top of that all men’s sale merchandise was an extra 40% off making them $35.98 (that’s a savings of 90% off). I scooped up two in different styles. Along with two blazers I bought two pairs of dress pants also on final sale for the same price. In all, two blazers and two pairs of pants came out to $140.
Other great deals included long-sleeve orange waffle shirts for $6, other pairs of pants for as low at $20 after the discount, and dress shirts for as low as $10 after the discount.
I mix and match my high-end clothes with great BR pieces all the time. It’s a great way to look chic and save a lot of money. If you’re still deciding about the Barneys Warehouse Sale, go check out Banana Republic first.”
