On Monday, Hurricane Sandy shuttered the doors of retailers in New York City. This morning, I walked down Fifth Avenue and found most stores still closed, including Bergdorf Goodman on West 57th Street (check out the video). In addition, a dangerously dangling crane on a construction site west of the store has shutdown part of the cross street. While the storm has passed the area, there’s now damage to assess…

The gates are down, but Bergdorf was still boarded up around noon this morning! Looks like they were open for business! I also saw a LONG line in front of Abercrombie!
