I love Diesel’s sporty and grungy clothes, but when I went to the sample sale I wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I wrong! My advice to all is get yourselves to this sale! While the prices varied from just OK to pretty good, the selection was amazing. There were racks and racks of Diesel and Diesel Brand Gold clothes as well as jackets, belts, sandals, and scarves. However, if you’re a Diesel fan you will die for the selection of shoes. I was in Diesel shoe heaven.
Before I get to the shoes, I’ll start with the clothes. I spotted made in Italy garments such as a Nylon trench, a button down sweater vest, and some button down dress shirts. There were sweaters (most of them made in China). I also saw a Diesel pea-coat style wool jacket that a friend (who tagged along) has been dying to get for months. In the department stores, it was going for as low as $200 (originally $450), but at the sample sale it was an amazing $100! For a complete look at pricing, look at the extensive price list.
There were tons of the Diesel t-shirts, casual button down shirts, and short sleeve shirts great for summer. My shopping buddy picked out some nice shorts and swimwear ($25). Other great finds were various Diesel belts, a made in Italy scarf, and a hooded leather jacket for $200 (down from $1,000).
As I said before the best part were the shoes! Not only were there sneakers scattered throughout the rooms on the floor, but in the next room were racks of shoes, sneakers, and boots. There were great Diesel leather strap sandals that I would’ve picked up if not for the fact that I just bought amazing Bruno Magli sandals at the horrible Saks sale.
The best part though were the many different sneakers ($40). A fantastic pair of hiking and wet weather boots caught my eye (It’s never too soon to think about the upcoming winter weather).
These Diesel Olson boots cost me a whopping $40…a steal!!! (I have to admit the cashier priced them as sneakers instead of boots).
I didn’t get to check out the women’s section, but I can say there was a good portion of racks for clothes and shoes to choose from. All in all, I would definitely recommend this sale. The sales people were extremely nice and helpful (unlike at Saks Fifth Avenue) and I’m sure there are more amazing deals to be had, especially if they drop the prices towards the end of the sale.

Hello, thanks for the review! What kind of sizes did they have?
There were a wide range of sizes (except for shoes – only size 9 women & 10-mens). They told me they were bringing out more things today for women – so if you’re in the neighborhood maybe check it out and let us know if it’s worth a trip back
Thanks -
Thanks, KateM for all your updates, especially the great assessment of the sale for us girls…
Mens shoes were mostly 9 and 10. I think most of the sneakers were 9, but there were some good 10′s including the boots I got. I’m usually a 9, 9.5, or 10 so sample sales are perfect for me. Don’t know about the womens sizes though.
As for mens clothes, there was a variety, but mostly mediums and larges which fits most men including myself.
Any further discounts or price reductions?
Hi Sally! I’m new to your site, so I don’t really know where to post a question, so please bear with me. A while back when I was working in lower Manhattan there was a great Sample Sale company, I believe they were called Heart of the Sale. I always got great jeans from them. I noticed I stopped receiving emails from them. Do you know if they went out of business. They don’t come up on Google either. Thanks so much.
Dina – Apologies for the late response. I took a bit of a break… Can you tell me where this company held their sales? I’ve not heard of them and any details may help… What brand jeans? any other type of clothing, accessories?
